Public Broadcasting Atlanta Empowers the Community through Public Square Atlanta

Public Broadcasting Atlanta has created Public Square Atlanta, a community network designed to connect citizens who share like concerns and public objectives both with each other and with elected officials to bring positive change to their communities. The website, PublicSquareAtlanta.org, encourages visitors to “Get Something Done,” “Help Someone” or “Contact my Elected Officials.”

“PBA’s mission is to educate, entertain and empower the communities we serve,” said Milton Clipper, President and CEO of PBA. “Public Square Atlanta empowers Atlantans to participate in and to have a voice in the political and online environments.  It is an interactive online service based on our belief that in every person there is a fundamental need to engage with others, to seek common purposes, and to effectively participate in the democratic processes that affect our families, workplace and communities.  It is an engine that serves to connect and engage our communities.  We look forward to the shared excitement in its use.”
